We can talk about the MacBook Air , as we did in the most recent Macworld Podcast . But a picture, as they say, is worth a thousand words, so here's a video review of the MacBook Air, just as the first laptops start shipping out to customers. The MacBook Air arrived in our offices a week ago, and since then I've been putting the notebook to the test. I pared down my files so that everything would fit on the MacBook Air's 80GB hard drive, I used the Migration Assistant , and I handed the laptop over to the Lab for extensive testing. Now I'm ready to share my final assessment of the MacBook Air. i honestly think that the reason people are complaining about the Air is EXACTLY what you said- the fact that its only for a SMALL portion of people. i think the reason people are hating on it is because its so DAM sexy and compact, yet doesn't fit THEIR lifestyles. so basically they want it but it doesnt work for them so their pissed off because they want that sexiness in their full-featured laptops. my suggestion- wait for the revamped Macbooks and Macbook Pros.
